Brief Answer:
Please provide few more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has undergone prostate surgery 4 years back and has hematuria off and on

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was the prostate surgery done for Enlarged prostate or Cancer of the prostate ?
2) Was it an endoscopic surgery or open surgery ?
3) Is he taking any drug as a blood thinner like Aspirin or Heparin ?

The hematuria is mostly due to recurrence of enlarged prostate or cancer of the prostate and needs to investigated further .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Trans Rectal Ultrasound(TRUS)

In the mean while start taking Dutasteride once daily which helps to reduce congestion of the enlarged prostate .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
