What Causes Blood In Vomit While On Inderal For Anxiety?

Question: My son is on inderal for anxiety and was reported to vomit with blood, is this a side effect, and should he seek GP ( only reported x1) ?

Inderal does not cause blood in vomiting rather it can be used in treatment for that sometime.

Your son is on epilium 1500. This drug sodium valproate can cause gastric and liver upset and may cause vomiting as well as with blood in vomiting sometime as a side effect.

Though one episode only, he should be evaluated for the cause of blood in vomiting.Consult doctor and do the needful as advised by doctor.
