What Causes Blurred Vision And Cough While On Metoprolol And Lisinopril?

Question: I take 2 blood pressure meds- metoprolol 25mg and Lisinopril 2.5mg. I take 2 metoprolol daily. 1 in the morning and one at night . I take one Lisinopril daily I also take eliquis -5mg twice daily , for a blood clot in my lungs 2yrs ago my hemotologist ran blood test ,and said I have nothing in my blood that produces blood clots and I could get of xarelto which I was on at the time in about a month. my doctor says I have to stay on a blood thinner the rest of my life. side effects from blood pressure med- dizziness always tired coughing and slight blurred vision. I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. Cough an dizziness are well recognized side effects of lisinopril. Talk to your doctor to get this drug replaced. There are other medications which do the exact same functions and do not cough this side effect of dry and irritative cough. For the blood thinners, some people do eventually get off and others stay on all their lives. Ask your doctor what makes him think you need to stay on all your life? Report this to me and I will comment on whether it is valid an din your best interest or not.
