Question: I am 51 year old female type 1 diabetic. Today my vision in my right suddenly changed so it is very blurry. My eye looks normal. I spoke with my eye doctor but he did not seem concerned but I am worried. Any suggestions?
Brief Answer:
Please monitor blood pressure/sugar level....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your query carefully and understood your concerns. Having only one episode of blurry vision is not so worrisome. Hopefully, there was nothing wrong with your eyes. Retinopathy is common among diabetics, especially if blood sugar is not well controlled.
However, I suggest to monitor blood pressure and blood sugar at the time you have such episodes, record the results to get them analyzed by your doctor.
Please bare in mind that quick movements of the head, standing up quickly or going from dark to direct sunlight can also cause such blurred vision.
Missing/irregular meals and stress can also be the cause.
Hope it was of help!
