Question: I have leukemia and am taking Ibrutinib I have had red eyes since XXXXXXX and they water and I have some blurring vision, partly because of cataract I have been on different drops and stints and now 1 month ago they gave me Botox shot but they don't clear up. They don't hurt but it is miserable as I can't read other than big headlines in paper. Would I be alergic to this med.

Brief Answer:
blurring vision is not an adverse effect of ibrutinib

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

Ibrutinib has several side effects, with thrombocytopenia being one of its main side effects. This might partly explain eye redness, which should be explored furtherly with blood test exams, to see the number of thrombocytes (platelets)

But, buirring vision is definitely not related to this drug. No study has reported this symptom as ibrutinib's side effect.

Cataract fits perfectly with blirring vision. So I recommend getting the appropriate treatment of cataract, for a better visual accuracy.

Hope this helps.

Wish you the best health
