Hello!
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms of body ache, feeling cold, sore throat and diarrhea are suggestive for a viral infection.Considering your symptoms it is a mild viral infection. It is a self limited disease that doesn't require a specific treatment ,just a supportive one.
You should rest a lot, eat well and drink plenty of fluids to replace the fluids you lose from diarrhea and avoid dehydration.
You can take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol for body ache and chills.
Try tea with honey to ease the sore throat. Gargling with warm salt water would also improve the discomfort.
Usually the symptoms may last up to 1 week and then resolve on their own.You will feel better day after day.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati

Hello again!
I am very sorry for your brother but I don't think you should think of pneumonia right away.
Since your symptoms started only a few days ago,I suggest to give it some time and see what happen.
Pneumonia can develop as a complication of a viral infection, but is rare.
Usually a viral infection tend to resolve on its own in a week.
Usually pneumonia causes severe symptoms including high fever, sweating or a low temperature ,cough with sputum ,chest pain ,shortness of breath, feeling confused and disorientated .
Try to rest, eat well and drink plenty of fluids for some days and if the symptoms get worse or don't improve in few days, consult a physician for examination.
Hope it helps.
Wish you a quick and complete recovery.
Take care,
Dr.Rovena
