Brief Answer:
Your doctor may be right

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

The symptoms you mentioned could be present in anxiety as anxiety is very heterogeneous disorder with variety of symptoms.
It is also commonly observed that female in middle age have increased risk of anxiety, which may be one another reason for your doctors interpretation.

If there is no other cause to explain all these symptoms we need to accept the diagnosis with positive attitude to correct whatever may be wrong.

As a psychiatrist I advise you to enrol yourself for either psychotherapy or medication for time being. Within few weeks you will be better, if it is solely due to anxiety. In case there remains something doubtful your diagnosis will be reviewed as per need by treating doctors.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
