What Causes Boil On Vaginal Lips That Is Bleeding?
Question: I went to the bathroom and noticed blood. When I looked closer I found a small hole (needle size) on the inner vaginal lip. It is slightly swollen and red, but the bleeding stopped pretty quickly. What is going on?

I went through the query and understood your concern.
Since its the first time the lesion may be most probably boil (infected sebaceous cysts of the labia). They are quite common in this area.
It can be due to poor perineal hygiene.
Have protected intercourse till this problem subsides. Just clean with lukewarm water without overtly rubbing or scrubbing and then dry with a gentle linen / cotton towel. Do NOT burst or handle the lesions. Wear cotton undergarments and change very frequently, if possible, every 3 - 4 hours if working in a hot , humid or damp environment. You can use local antibiotic cream on the boil, such as Soframycin cream.
For now do not use any kind of medicated soaps / cleansers / gels / douches / detergents for the private parts.
If the lesion does not subside in 3-4 days then get complete STD screen and your blood sugar levels tested to rule out diabetes. If multiple lesion develops or if it does not heal then you would need antibiotics to resolve. Also, probiotics will be helpful.
