What Causes Bone Pain And Slightly Increased Serum Creatinine?
Question: I am 47yrs old male, ht 170cm,wt=78kgs. diagnosed with, 'Tubulo nephritis probably secondary to glomerulonephritis' in biopsy report done in july2009. from then till now serum creatinine is in range of 3 to 3.5. No abnormalities seen except bone pain sometimes. Is there any danger with this type of disease?

You are suffering from chronic interstitial nephritis. This disease is slowly progressive and will not cause any immediate complications.
Your treatment looks OK.
But most important is to rule-out acidosis . You can get an ABG test to see any acidosis which is common with this disease and can easily be treated. most important factors to protect your kidney- keep BP well controlled < 130/80. avoid non-veg food. less salt in diet. It is good that in last 4 years your creatinine has not increased much. But slowly this creatinine will progress over next many years. so regular check-up is important including managing sodium, potassium levels and calcium and phosphorus levels, and hemoglobin levels.
