Question: I get short of breath when I walk. I was just diagnosed with tongue cancer, can that be the cause?

Get done chest x ray and PFT.

I can understand your concern.
You are taking cardiac and respiratory drugs. And you are also having tongue cancer.
So possibility of following conditions is very high.
1. Worsening of bronchitis
2. Worsening of heart condition.
3. Lung metastases
4. Rarely Pulmonary embolism.
So get done chest x ray to rule out metastases.
Get done PFT to rule out worsening of bronchitis.
Get done ecg and 2d echo to rule out worsening of heart disease.
So your present symptoms are not directly related to tongue cancer but they can be secondarily to cancer.
So get done ecg, 2d echo, chest x ray and PFT.
