What Causes Brittle Nails And Pica Despite Taking Multivitamin Medication?

I am currently using a Multivitamin tablet which has 14mg of Iron and the dosage is 2 per day. I have been diagnosed with iron deficiency long back and i am seeing the same symptoms now like brittle nails, pica etc. Please suggest me till how many months i can continue the medication safely and what should i have later

It will be more helpful if you attach your reports like your Hemoglobin level, serum Ferritin, complete Iron study, General Blood Picture (GBP).
In addition to iron supplement, you should do deworming by taking Albendazole 400 mg at night for three consecutive days.
Also take iron rich fruits and vegetables like pomegranate, jaggery, green leafy vegetables.
