Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks for this query.

Semen is normal cream white. A change in color could be caused by several different conditions. Some are benign and others are not.

1. reddish brownish or pink semen could signal a possible blood leak into the semen. This is common in persons who might have undergone surgery or biopsy of the prostate.

2. Yellow semen could be caused by a mixture with urine. This is very common. Because the difference between brown and yellowish is difficult to make, I suggest that you look at it more closely. Other possible causes could be jaundice and excess levels of white cells in urine.

3. Brown or greenish suggests an infection. In addition to this, you would have pain and in some cases difficulties sitting on a chair. If these symptoms are absent, then it is unlikely to be an infection.

My plan would be as follow:

1. monitor and make sure this is not a one XXXXXXX observation.
2. If it is for real constant, we will do a semen analysis and further plan would depend on the initial findings.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Kind regards!
