What Causes Bump On Inside Of Vagina With Negative STD Test Results?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Jan 2015
Question: I have a bump on the inside of my vagina,bi can only see it when I spread myself open. It's soft and causes no discomfort. It's not even discolored. I have no insurance to go see a doctor so when I noticed it I got checked for STD. Everything came back as negative for any diseases. Idk if I should be concerned.

Brief Answer:
Not worrisome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bump is likely to be sebaceous cyst or bartholin's cyst like we have pimples on face.
It will go by itself and new ones can form and the cycle can go on for some time.
These are usually seen in patients who wear tight underclothes or jeans for a long time.
More common in Summers.
Just try to keep your genital area open or in loose clothes for some time each day and drink lots of water.
If it is not actively increasing in size or is not painful then there is no need to worry.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
