Brief Answer:
may be a pterygium

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it may be a pterygium. This is an elevated superficial mass that forms over the conjunctiva and extends to the cornea.

The conjunctiva is a thin lining that covers the inner part of the eyelid and over the sclera.

A pterygium may cause no symptoms in some persons but in others may cause redness, swelling ,itching, irritation. In some cases blurred vision can occur.

It is caused by increased exposure to ultraviolet light.
There may also be a genetic predisposition to their formation.

If there are no symptoms then they are only observed and sun exposure reduced.
Since you are having symptoms then you may need to consider the use of simple tear eye drops such as tear plus, systane.
There are also anti inflammatory eye drops that can be used but you may need a prescription from your doctor. Examples are acular, voltaren opthla, ocufen.

IF there is no relief then the other option would be surgery.
This is the only other source of treatment.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
