Question: I have had a unprotected sexual encounter with a girl I've know for sometime, and the very next day the tip of my penis was burning quite strongly. I panicked and wen to the outpatient (doctor) to get tested for STI's and 4 days later I went for urine and blood tests, where I was tested for everything that I can think of: gonoria, chlamydia, HiV, herpes, etc...and all blood and urine tests came back Negative. I have taken just about every prescription medicine to help clear up this burning feeling I have at the end of my penis, itchy anus, and now , but nothing seems to work...Went to a urologist for a cystoscopy where he sent a camera to view both my urethra and prostate, and both were perfect color and normal size...my Family doctor thinks this is in my head, but I have never been the same since this encounter...help?
Brief Answer:
Can be due to acidic urine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Feeling burning at the tip of penis might be due to more acidic nature of the urine.
To prevent this, take more and more fluids per day.
Avoid acidic fruit juices like lime juice, orange juice, etc.
Plenty of cranberry juice will help in reducing the symptoms.
Examine the external genital area carefully for any injury and rashes.
If the symptoms do not improve you can get an ultrasound scan done to rule out any possibility of renal or ureteric calculus.
Any infection is not likely.
I hope this answers your query.

along with burning penis tip, I have itchy anus and heartburn which has been constant since my interaction...the heartburn in particular is really annoying
so my symtoms are:
1) pain at the tip of my penis
2) itchy anus
3) constant heartburn
the heartburn is also worse when laying down?
to be clear, all STI tests were negative
would you still recommend the same diagnosis?
Brief Answer:
Yes.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Itchy anus and heartburn are not related to the pain at the tip of your penis. These can be due to GERD and a worm infestation. Drugs like omeprazole and antacids along with prokinetic drugs like domperidone/itopride should help you in improving the symptoms. De worming medicines will help in reducing the itching.
The pain at penis tip is likely to be due to acidic urine.
Hope my answer is helpful.
