What Causes Burning Chest Pain After Doing Weight Exercises?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I know that Angina Pain can sometimes only occur at warm-up. Given the the elliptical machine also uses chest muscles and when I switched to a bike with the same exertion level do you think this pain was Angina?
What else should I be looking for to see if this is actually angina or chest muscle pain.
Doesn't seem to be warm up angina.
Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern it doesn't seems to be warm up angina. My judgement is based on the fact that before starting on elliptical machine (which is the moment you experienced chest pain) you performed weight exercise (which is endurance and anaerobic activity). While exertion on elliptical machine is an aerobic one, if your pain were warm up angina, it should have appeared before (during weight exertion). So relax! At your age and with your physical activity profile warm up angina should be the last thiught that would stress your mind.
The only thing that I would highly recommend you is to perform very careful graded and supervised training.
It is recommended for all training persons to perform periodic medical check ups (physical exam, resting ECG, and sometimes stress test).
Hope to have been helpful to you! Greetings from Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Hello again! Yes, probably it would appear even before, but I don't rely on that fact, as there is always a first time. I don't think it is warm up angina.
Just go to your doctor and perform a stress test to confirm my conclusion! Best regards!
