What Causes Burning In The Mouth And Pain While Swallowing?
Peripheral Neuropathy is a common cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The symptoms that you have described are widespread. They are suggestive of a peripheral neuropathy (tingling) and autonomic neuropathy (sweating).
2. There are many causes. Get a full blood and metabolic profile done with special emphasis on ruling out diabetes, hypothyroidism and changes in liver and renal function.
3. Certain medications, multi-vitamin deficiencies, chemicals, heavy metals, chronic diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Compression on the nerves (when you lie down), autoimmune disorders, hormonal changes and so on.
4. Treatment will depend upon the cause. You may follow up with detailed reports on the above mentioned conditions for further treatment.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. You have not mentioned any previous medications in your medical history. If you have been on medication before, kindly enumerate. These include some antibiotics, anti-epileptics, statins, chemotherapy drugs and so on.
2. I think the fact that you get most of the symptoms (or that they worsen) after lying down suggests that you should get an MRI Spine done. Also look for any stenosis of the spinal canal. Get a neck vessel doppler study done.
3. You should see a Neurologist. A normal MRI Brain will rule out Multiple Sclerosis.Multiple Sclerosis is a rare disorder.
If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
