Brief Answer:
The most possible diagnoses is gastritis/peptic ulcer, but other as well

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear XXXX,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question. I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

The burning pain and the location suggests for a gastritis/peptic ulcer problem, as the most possible diagnoses. So taking the Omeprazole 20mg will help you a lot. It may start the effect in a few days though and you should be careful with the diet- avoid caffeine products, alcohol, spicy, acidic foods. It is a diagnoses that is decided only by the clinical symptoms.

If not better an if worse, then doing liver functions tests, kidney function, an abdominal ultrasound to check for the liver and the kidney for possible stones...will be the best next steps.

Hope this is helpful.
