What Causes Burning Pain In The Testicle And Groin Area?
Question: My dad is 78yrs. old has had two heartattacks, has had cancer and has Diabetes. He has a burning pain in his right testicle and crotch area. the Dr.s have gave him a cream to put on it ( for like yest infection) but it not working. It seem to be burning more and more. Its not red on the out side. I think its on the inside. He recently had check ups for his cancer and heart and everything look good. Would it be something to do with his diabetes?
Brief Answer:
How severe is this pain? What cream is he having?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Am so sorry to hear about what your dad is going through. Can you kindly tell me what cream he’s using and how severe the pain is? For now, let him get a supportive underwear as well as take tylenol for relief. As we get more details and pinpoint the cause, more specific treatment would be proposed. It is unusual that this pain would be explained by his diabetes. While diabetes causes peripheral neuropathic pain, the scrotum is rarely the first to be affected.
Keep me posted and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Hey, you may also attach his last report for review.

The cream he has been using is Clotrimazole usp 1% and Desonide 0.05% Lot Act. NYSTATIN 100000 Power GAV. He is also on Simvastatin 40mg 1 a day, Furosemide 40mg 1/2 once a day, Klor-Con M20 ER 1/2 once a day, Metoprolol Tart 50mg twice a day, Enalapril 5mg twice a day. He cleans the area every 2 to 3 hrs. because the burning goes up to a 10. ( on a scale from 1 to 10 ). He also said his butt hole hurts as well inside and out. But it does not itch just burns. At last check his Blood Suger was 352 and his PB was 116/68. I hope this helps. I think he needs a MRI because I think its something on the inside causing all the problems.
Brief Answer:
Let him try lidocaine gel!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
While the cause is not immediately evident, taking care of his pain is a good start. I will suggest that he gets lidocaine gel for application to the scrotum for relief. Definitely, I will like to see him evaluated again for further investigations and management. Am not so sure this is a fungal....Are we talking of pains or itches?
Let me know how he does on this product.
