Lumbar spondylosis with sciatica.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,
After going through your query I concluded that you may be having lumbar spondylosis with compressive neuropathy in the form of burning pain running down left thigh from below the hip to the knee. I think so because it is common in your age. You need to do x-ray Lumbar spine AP and Lateral view to confirm lumber spondylosis and MRI Lumbar spine to confirm compression. I empirically treat such persons coming to my clinic by Glucosamine, Diacerine and Mecobamine with good results. For pain relief analgesic is given. You are already taking ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is OK but if you have no relief from ibuprofen then strong analgesic such tramadol may be considered. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. Sometimes if there is no relief by this treatment and MRI shows compression then decompression operation will relieve the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
