What Causes Burning Sensation And Pain In Elbow Joint And Hip Joint?
Joint pain relieved with activity
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM
From your inquiry I hear that you are concerned about painful joints when you are at rest and then gets better with activity. I am glad to hear that you are active and in good health. Despite having a steroid injection your pain continues which is making you feel confused as to what is the cause of your pain.
In my practice I see plenty of adults with joint pain and forms of arthritis. From the description of your symptoms this does not sound like a inflammatory type arthritis like rheumatoid. Since the steroid injection did not help that strengthens the diagnosis as less likely inflammatory.
The symptoms sound more like an problem with a mild osteoarthritis. It does affect weight bearing joints or joints that move frequently. When you start being active your body releases more endorphins and that reduces pain. Being active is a great therapy for osteoarthritis. I have recommended yoga and Tai Chi for all my patients with arthritis since these exercises improve movement and reduce pain. For the pain that is waking you at night I would recommend you add Tylenol to reduce your pain.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional question or want to add any additional information please contact us again
