What Causes Burning Sensation And Redness On Penis?
The last few weeks been having burning skin on scrotum down to anus on and off. There for a few days then gone for a few. Scrotum looks really red too sometimes and sometimes not. Had some burn on penis tip and around ridge(corona) purple sometimes stings when foreskin is up over it and head seems inflammed. Little redness just below head on foreskin as well. Sometimes after ejaculation penis opening a little itchy. Some burning on penile shaft as well but not red, I think some of burning is coming from inside.
Also had some discomfort in pelvic area, which I'm sure is from my lymph nodes being swollen... Do I need to worry about herpes? She said she was clean. She said she had a Pap test about 5 weeks after me and said everything was normal... Do I believe her.
Just don't know what to think
Balanoposthitis- diabetes- treat both- no sex
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
First of all I would tell you that I have seen the photos and your interaction with other Doctors.
Since your all tests are negative, just stop worrying at the moment and concentrate at the problems you have at the moment. You had unprotected sex long ago, that is 4 months and by this time any of the STD would have been evident.
Your problem at the moment ( few weeks you say) is burning skin scrotum with redness off and on, and problem on the glans and foreskin as you have explained including discomfort in the pelvic area. ( you can not say this to be lymph node unless proved by ultrasonography- let us talk about evidence based problems).
Do not worry about herpes if you do not have a rash like herpes.
This looks to be a problem called balanoposthitis.
I hope you have a single sex partner other than the one you had unprotected sex. IT is possible that this is just a balanoposthitis due to either the usual infection transferred to you from your partner/ wife.
The effective treatment to be taken by both of you is as follows:
Clean the area with plain water 2 to 4 times a day and and keep it dry with a pure cotton cloth or a dryer.
you may apply liquid Povidone Iodine locally or a Metronidazole cream- nothing else at all. We have seen no results with any other solution, cream or ointment. So do not try anything else; if you are using any, please stop it.
A course of antibiotic with metronidazole orally for 5 to 7 days to be taken by you and your wife should help you to get a cure.
Get your and your wife's Blood Sugar checked. Diabetes is a known reason to cause such problems.
No intercourse till both of you are cured of the problem and to continue sex later but to use condom for about one month.
Please follow the steps and you may be fine soon.
As for the pain in the pelvis area, get the following investigations done::
Blood- complete blood picture, kidney functions tests, blood sugar fasting and post-lunch,
Urine- routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity ( before start of antibiotic)
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Take plenty of oral fluids.
I hope this satisfies your query, just follow and let me know the results.
Wishing you a complete recovery.
Whst does herpes rash look like...and can't u have herpes and not have a rash
you can have
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Please post ultrasonography report for me to know details about the lymph nodes, size, place etc.
Why would you be so much bothered about herpes ?
The pictures you have provided shows not a single rash like that of herpes and nor the symptoms you have.
and there is no treatment for it, you can only get a symptomatic relief.
Well to answer your query :: They may start as small blisters that eventually break open and produce raw, painful sores that scab and heal over within a few weeks. The blisters and sores may be accompanied by flu-like symptoms with fever ..
Yes one can be a carrier - no rash and still have herpes.
Available in Canada. Get the treatment as above
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Herpes can be tested in Canada (http://www.lifelabs.com/files/New_Tests_(right_sidebar)/LL_Herpes_Testing_pamphlet(_4).pdf )...
This is done by serology tests meaning done by a blood sample and one has to pay directly to the lab - may not be covered by Insurance or so.
Rest of the treatment has to be conducted as already mentioned above.
This will cure your problem of urethral pain and redness. Get the treatment for both of you ( you and your wife). A course of an Antibiotic and Metronidazole as advised by your Doctor ( you need a prescription to get such medicines)
Get well soon.
It is a parasitic single celled organism
Detailed Answer:
HI.
Origin is not known... It is produced as other organisms are produced.
Trichomonas vaginitis is a single celled parasite which originates in vagina and urethra. This is transmitted by sex. So it usually originates from vagina or urethra in females. Men can hold the parasite without any symptoms for years together.
These are parasites, how can one know the origin ( production)?
But one thing is certain that they are transmitted by sexual act.
Metronidazole orally is very effective drug and condom acts as a barrier.
It is NOT produced naturally by anyone.
Detailed Answer:
NO, It is not produced naturally by anyone. It is transmitted from one person to another.
Referring to the net we can try to understand how they come into existence :::
{ The evolutionary origins of that organelle (and thus of trichomonas, itself), have been heavily debated.
Because hydrogenosomes contain enzymes normally found in anaerobic bacteria (prokaryotes), some scientists hypothesized that hydrogenosomes, and thus the trichomonas bug, were more evolutionary related to bacteria than to eukaryotes. However, hydrogenosomes and mitochondria also share many common characteristics, including a double membrane and a common means of protein import, suggesting that trichomonas is more closely related to mitochondria-using eukaryotes.
Hrdy et al (2004) and others provided increasing evidence in favor of the latter hypothesis by showing that the first few subunits of the respiratory chain in mitochondria also exist in trichomonads’ hydrogenosomes.
That buildup of evidence received final confirmation in January 2007 when the complete T. vaginalis genome was published, via the method of shotgun sequencing, by the Institute for Genomic Research.
Sequencing of the parasite’s complete genome also revealed that it is one of the largest we know of—about the size of the human genome. Much of that size is accounted for by repeated segments, which most likely reflect an expansion of genetic material due to a relatively recent evolutionary transition into the urogenital environment (Carlton et al 2007).}
So they are not produced naturally by human. It is transmitted by sex.
Well, I was wondering why would you like to know the origin.
Start the proper treatment
Detailed Answer:
How the first person got infected is going to a mystery....
You too have acquired this infestation ( word used for a parasite) from another person.
Have you not yet started the treatment with an Antibiotic and metronidazole, local application of liquid Povidone Iodine?
