This is obviously urinary infection and this is commonly seen . It can pass spontaneously,try to drink plenty of fluids,drink raspberry tea and avoid sexual intercourse while having symptoms. If there won't be improvement then you may need antibiotics but before this you should do urine analysis and uriniculture and std testing. Wish you good health. Regards

How long should I expect to take to clear up naturally? I discounted std as it was a constant burning and disappeared whilst peeing as symptoms for std seem to be other way round?

Well for 2-3 days it should subside. it is not likely to be std if there is no discharge or penis lesion but some stds can begin with such burning pain.
