What Causes Burning Sensation Chest Area Radiating To Stomach?

Gastroesophageal reflux disease is most probable reason of your symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Burning sensation is most likely caused by a gastroesophageal reflux disease (called GERD). Due to stomach acid presence in the stomach, it gets irritated. This gives chest burning, nausea, acid taste in the mouth.
As GERD is very often associated with asthma, cough and trouble breathing can also be present.
All this symptoms can trigger anxiety indeed. Especially that many patients takes this symptoms as a heart attack (heart attack gives chest burning and squeezing which radiates to the left arm or jaw).
Moreover, anxiety and stress stimulates stomach acid secretion and makes GERD symptoms even worse.
There is no possibility that lower left bulge gives pain after spicy foods. The worst it can be is a hernia. It can be painful. The pain can be related with foods intake if there is intestine inside. But there is no difference for hernia if the food is spicy or not.
Hernia give a lump in the groin. Such lump is usually soft and less visible when lying down. It gets much larger when standing and coughing.
Here is what you should do:
- avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, alcohol, chocolate, orange juices
- start Magnesium supplementation
- have soft tissues ultrasound of the bulge area
- consult pulumonologist and have spirometry (blow test)
If the diet wont settle the symptoms, you should consult your doctor and get medicines which decrease stomach acid secretion (like Omeprasole).
If the bulge is hernia, should be checked by a general surgeon. Surgery might be necessary.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

You should consider SSRI treatment and psychiatrist consult.
Detailed Answer:
Anxiety treatment is sometimes a hard task. Alprazolam can be used only in short term and can cause addiction indeed. Buspiron is a better choice. But I suggest you to consult specialist (psychiatrist) and consider more complex and effective treatment with medicines called SSRI (antidepressants). The anti anxiety effected achieved with this medicine can be permanent.
Omeprazole is fine for acid reflux disease along with mentioned diet.
Regards.
