Brief Answer:
Can be a side effect.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The burning sensation in the leg can be due to a side effect of alendronate or due to vitamin B12 deficiency. It is best to get her blood test done and then start with proper supplements. Increasing electrolyte rich fluid intake will also help.
