What Causes Burning Sensation In Lower Abdomen?
I have a vibrating burning sensation to lower abdomen. Not painful, more annoying than anything
Please give a bit more details.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Madam.
Thanks for your query, albeit small and very specific. I have read it - and understood that you have cut down on certain foods like dairy and nuts, using antihistamines - using Cavstat- You have a vibrating burning sensation in the abdomen. Most of the times such a sensation can be due to stress / anxiety related , although if becomes difficult for the patient to believe because there is no overt disturbance felt by the patient.
Well, I would be happy to get some more information for me to help you more:
I was wondering to know the reason for you to take Cavstat- Is there any lipid profile problem?
Since when have you started Cavstat ? This too can cause the problems as you have at the moment. Please discuss this with your Physician as stopping Cavstat may help or not is to be seen ?
Which antihistamine are you taking and for which cause?
Since when have you got the present problem?
What are the associated symptoms- like bloating, change of bowel habits like constipation or loose motions; nausea, vomiting and any other problems which you may think related or even unrelated, any Gynecological problems ?
Have you undergone any tests like blood, urine , stool, ultrasonography or so ?Please post the reports.
Awaiting for your feedback; I have partly tried to give you the answer embedded above. The other reasons are rare at your age of 57, hence noting only for the sake of some understanding. Few of them can be PID- pelvic inflammatory disease, enteritis in mild form due to allergy or infection or related to IBS; Proctitis or cystitis just to name a few one.
No gynaecology problems. Cavastat is for high cholesterol and have been on that for 2 years. For hay fever (severe) I use Alzene - over the counter medication. Two weeks ago had severe stomach cramps with loose motions. At time, thought I may have eaten something off. The problem I have now has occurred since then
Thanks

Antibiotic and supportive.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the instant feedback.
Good to know that you have no Gynec problem, Cavastat is being taken for 2 years, Alzene (OTC) for severe hey fever.
You problem started 2 weeks ago with stomach cramps and loose motions. (You have not given any history of medication). This may be the reason for untreated / ill-treated intestinal infection to cause the present problem.
In such a case I would recommend to take the following (if you have not yet taken)::
An antibiotic like Cefixime or Oflaxacin under the care of your Doctor in proper dosage for 5 days minimum, activated charcoal tablets, probiotics, PPI or Ranitidine and your problem may be solved.
I hope this answer helps you, you may please rate this answer if you liked it.
