Brief Answer:
it'll go off within a few days only..follow the advises..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

Well the burning sensation is primarily due to acid reflux, and since you've thrown up last night, so there's an element of temporary erosion to the mucus membranes of the foodpipe(esophagus), which is causing it..

It needs few days to get settled.. However, you should stop both the Pepcid and tums, and start taking Cap PANTOPRAZOLE (eg. PROTONIX) 40mg Once daily in empty stomach (15-20min prior to breakfast), for next 10 days and observe how you stay..

Avoid spicy/deep fried foods and have simple home cooked meals for the timebeing.. avoid soda and too many tea/coffee also..have yogurt on daily basis for the time being, it'll promote healing..avoid any form of smoking and alcohol too (if at all do)..

With all these being followed, you should be better within a few days only..

Do let me know how you stay in the due course

Take Care
Kind Regards
