What Causes Burning Sensation In The Fingers Radiating To The Neck?

I am a 31 year old female and for the past number of weeks I have been experiencing fleeting warm/burning sensations under my skin with pins and needles in my fingers. The sensation goes up my neck and onto my forehead also. It only lasts a few seconds. I am also experiencing acid reflux and heartburn and was therefore wondering if it could be a food. It is causing me great concern. Can someone advise

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on the history you described, GERD is one possibility and can present in this way though the pins and needles in fingers are an unusual association with GERD. These are referred to as paresthesia. They can be related to a neurological cause or involving the cervical spine/ cord compression. PPIs like lansoprazole along with pro kinetics such as metoclopramide can be advised for 2 weeks. B 12 supplementation can also be done. The symptoms related with GERD will most likely resolve with the treatment described above. If the paresthesia still persist then a neurological exam would be required to determine a possible level at which the pathology may be found in the spinal cord/ cervical spine or brain.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
