What Causes Burning Sensation In The Testicles?
Question: I was prescribed Nystatin Cream by an Emergency Room Doctor for a severe burning in my crotch from my left testicle which is enlarged due to a benign cyst. The Doctor also prescribed an antibiotic, CEPAPHALEXIN 500 mg. When I tried to refill the Nystatin Cream at a Walmart Pharmacy the pharmacist told me Blue/Cross had denied my request for an immediate refill and I would have to wait one month. I switched to Lotrimin Ultra cream which contains BUTENAFINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Since it seems to be helping me should I continue using it or should I try to get more Nystatin Cream?
Brief Answer:
I would also like to rule out a fungal infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
since you were also given Cephalexin orally, and Butenafine is helping you--I think you can continue with it. Does it contain any other ingredient?
Since there was burning and problem is in crotch, I would also like to rule out a fungal infection.
Discuss this with your doctor when you meet him again.
You can revert back.
