Question: i am a 32 year old female and had a c-section last year (February 2013). I have been having burning sensation while passing urine and also for quite some time since last saturday. and even after passing i feel like i have to go again, like i have not been emptied completely. washing myself with 2% betadiene solution or drinking lots of water with Alkasol has given temporary relief. i am also having a pain in the lower abdomen, central part, below navel. tomorrow i am scheduled to get a urine test for urine culture sensitivity. but i am also having a sore throat and get relief i have taken 1 Azithral tablet today. now i am scared, would it affect result of my urine test? also, what medicines should i take for getting relief from the burning sensation and pain?

Brief Answer:
Don't worryy

Detailed Answer:
It seems you have urinary tract infection. you gave a tendency to get UTI and probably you were never treated properly with appropriate antibiotic and appropriate dose for adequate duration

you can continue with the therapy which you have been taking and stop azithral. stop taking the antibiotic fir thrust infection where antihistaminics would do well. there are chances that the culture report might get influenced by the azithral . but still you can give culture rest as many wouldn't be sensitive to azithral

you need yo get evaluated by a Gynecologist as some if the gynaecological problems manifest as UTI. you should be given intravenous antibiotic for 14 days at least once as per the sensitivity report in urine culture.
