What Causes Burning Sensation While Urination Post Azithrocin Intake?
Question: Hi, I had sexual encounter 13 days back, immediately within 12 hrs I visited a doctor and he gave me 2 azithrocin, 5 flagyl and 2 x 7 days dose of doxycycline... I complete it and had no problem... after 2 days of completion of medication,, I have burning sensation in urine .. dizziness and weakness.. pls advice... what is the problem

As you have been given prophylactic treatment for STDs group of diseases.you can relax for a while.
It may be due to anxiety or fear or worries you are getting the symptoms.
the symptoms do not suggest anything specific
Please take plenty of water at least around 3 litres per day.
You can send me details if you have any discharge or rash or lymph node swelling or any other symptoms.

I visited STD Specialist yesterday, He suspects Non Specified Urethritis.
Have sent for Mid stream Urine and VDRL test , also for HSV 2.
Repeated Azithromycin 2 g again to be on the safe side and has been given Metoflam.Now the burning has temporarily reduced.
The doctor also asked me to drink plenty water.
What are the chances for Herpes, though I do not hv any visible blister, fever , flue , back ache etc.

Post 36 hrs after taking Azithromycin 2g :
1. Very slight burning sensation in urine.
2. Very slight irritation on tip of penis.
3. At time very soothing / cooling feeling inside penis / urethra
Please advice, if i can assume things are on right track.
