Brief Answer:
Clindamycin is not helpful in urinary tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
If along with pelvic discomfort if you have foul smelling vaginal discharge it suggests genital tract infection. Clindamycin is helpful in genital tract infection.
If the discomfort is more/worsening then you may use Clindamycin tablets 300 mg every 6 hours. If the pain is reducing in intensity, it is better to consult doctor before you start antibiotics. Just take a tablet of Buscopan 10mg ( Hyoscine butyl bromide) and see if you feel better.
Clindamycin will not be helpful if the discomfort is due to urinary tract infection.
Drink plenty of water to flush away the bacteria from urinary tract.
I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, do write to me. I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
