Brief Answer: Usually due to nerve irritation. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. The buzzing sensation could be due to small, local, involuntary muscle contraction and relaxation arising from the spontaneous discharge of a bundle of skeletal muscle fibers. This can happen due to mild nerve irritation; electrolyte imbalance; allergy to any substance used; Vitamin B12 deficiency; stress and anxiety etc. Usually it resolves on its own after sometime. In case the feeling is persistent then taking electrolyte rich fluids like fresh fruit juices and Vitamin B 12 supplements will be helpful. Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have. Wishing you good health. Regards. Dr. Rakhi Tayal.
