What Causes Calf And Foot Swelling After Lower Limb Surgery?
i take celecoxib 400mg day, not much help. thanks.
Swelling will take some time to reduce.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Calf and foot swelling is common in all lower limb surgeries and take some time to reduce. It is more common if patient has high blood pressure or Diabetes. Best method to reduce it to walk as much as possible. It causes squeezing of muscles and decrease in swelling. You can also do following.
1.Get ultrasound to check if you are not having DVT. It can cause swelling in calf. If there is DVT than you need to take heparin injections.
2. Calf pump or DVT stockings are also available.
3. Make sure than your blood sugar level and blood pressure both are normal.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks

Swelling in scar is not due to fracture
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I do not think that your swelling in scar is due to fracture. It is unlikely. You can not have a fracture with out fall. So I can assure you about that.
Once again swelling in operated limb is common. If there is no associated features like pain or fever than it can be safely ignored.
You can get ax ray of the hip joint along with sonography if you are worried about swelling. It will confirm the diagnosis. You can share that report with me.
I will try my best to help you.
thanks
