What Causes Calf Pain When Suffering From DVT And Surface Blood Clots?

Question: Hi i have had 2 dvts and 3 surface blood clots My calf has been aching for 3 days. No redness or swelling. Just an ache but it wont go away what should i do

Hi there,

As you are having 2 dvts and 3 surface blood clots, if I was your caring doctor would evaluate your legs blood vessels further through ECHO Doppler and consult with angiologist before deciding for specific treatment.

Meanwhile, I advise to:
- keep elastic stockings (special for dvts)
- raise your legs whenever you can
- apply heparin cream on the surface blood clots
- try not to stay in standing position for long
- take aspirin 100 mg on daily basis (should observe if you are also having stomach complaints)
