What Causes Carcinoma In The Caecum Area?

Question: Thank you. I was diagnosed with apple core carcinoma in the caecom area of the ascending colon in August 2012. At the time of diagnosis the colonoscopy did not pick up in meatastasise and I was told by my surgeon that it would be unlikely that I would need chemo therapy. When the cancer was removed 6 weeks later they found that it has metastisesed to two lymph nodes and I had to undergo chemotherapy that although now cancer free i have permanent disability. As it was a rapidly growing cancer from first CT scan pea size to second CT scan 4,5cm in 3 months I was concerned that the radiologists had not picked the cancer up initially and only after the colonoscopy 5 months later. I have had an independent Radiologist pick the cancer up at the very first CT scan and feel as if I have been mistreated
The problem is that I have CT scans on Disc and cannot up load these or do not know how to?
I HAVE THE IMAGES ON CD AND NEED TO ASK SOMEONE TO ASSIST ME IN TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE ONTO THIS WINDOW. THIS MIGHT TAKE A COUPLE OF HOURS.

Brief Answer:
Treatment option at stage 2 of the disease is only surgery
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since you were diagnosed with carcinoma in the caecum area and it got metastasized in 2 lymph nodes later i feel if your radiologist had picked up the disease in the first CT scan when it was in stage 2 and did not spread to lymph nodes then the disease could have been cured by surgery alone and chemotherapy was not needed and you could have been spared of permanent disability and i am afraid you have been mistreated.
Once the cancer has spread to lymph nodes it becomes stage 3 and treatment option at this stage is surgery followed by 6 months of chemotherapy at 21 days interval.
