What Causes Change In The Pigmentation Of The Scrotum?

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Oct 2016
Question: I noticed in the last few months, my scrotum is changing color. I have dark patches and very light patches. There is no pain, and no apparent issue with function (sex is still fine). But the sudden change in color is concerning. I am 57 years old.

Brief Answer:
Might be fungal infection, clocip powder , antifungal cream at night

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query
I would like you to upload the pictures of it, it will help me in providing you with specific advice.
Does it itch?
Are they uniformly distributed? or scattered?
Are this patches raised or flat?
Do you sweat aot?

Based on the information I feel it is likely to be fungal infection. But requires examination to confirm, so I would recommend you to see dermatologist.
Presently I would suggest you to wash the area with cool water and use dermadew soap. Tap it dry and apply dusting powder like clocip or candid. Also apply antifungal cream to the affected part at night. Wear loose fitting cotton undergarments and at home if possible avoid it use only boxers

Hope this helps
Take care.
