Question: My father is under acitrom 3 mg for the past 6 months. Once in every two months he will be consulting the doctor and take medications as per doctor's prescription. The INR value remains between 1 to 2 . When checked two months before, the INR value is 1.78. And now it is 1.38. He is under medication with tonact, Homocyst, Clobitab and Acitrom(3mg). We are worried about the INR value.

Brief Answer:
target INR value depends upon clinical condition

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

After going through your father clinical history it is evident that he is having either vavular heart disease / atrial fibrillation /DVT/ pulm.embolism or an issue related to cardiovascular system. so in such cases only oral anti-coagulants like acitrom will be given.

Depending upon the clinical condition - the target INR value depends.

so i require the history of your father for which he has been prescribed, on that note i can give my complete opinion.

regards,
