Question: Hi this is XXXXXXX here,
Whenever i have anything cold these days like water or cold drinks, the next day whole chest becomes heavy and pains.
this lasts for 2 days unitill i do not have the cold stuff again

I have hard drinks on weekends, there after which i have chest pains. i have got the cough, which does not getting removed off.
earlier cough's was cured when i use to have hot water.

when i take long breath chest pains little. rest its its normal, when i sit ideal.
please help

Hi XXXXXXX welcome to HCM,

cold seems to trigger a cold and cough in your case. One obvious solution is to avoid anything cold.
However, sometimes we do end up doing something which we know is not good for us. At these times, you should immediately follow it by chewing on something like cloves or a piece of ginger. This may abort the attack.

Your second problem is that cough is not getting cured. For this you must gargle with warm saline water daily, and take steam inhalation with vicks or Eucalyptus oil.
The chest pain that you have after drinks is due to acidity and gastritis caused by the alcohol. For this, make sure you do not drink on empty stomach, and if necessary take some Omeprazole.
