What Causes Chest Pain After Taking BP Medication?

Is this the first time you took this drug?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
If this is the first time you took this drug, then am a little concerned it may not be very friendly to you. However, it is still early to conclude so. It would be nice to take for a few more days before we conclude.
The increased in blood pressure is as a result of the pains. Increased blood pressure and heart rate occur when an individual is in pain. This would return to its usual values after the pain must have been taken care of.
How bad is this pain? Can you tolerate it or you would want a drug for relief? Pain after taking pills is often associated with pill induced gastric aggression. This normally resolves very fast unless it is a noted drug for causing gastritis/inflammation of the esophagus. I will recommend that you drink much water immediately after taking drugs to "rinse" the passages.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Please, get an upper endoscopy!

Hi,
These symptoms seem concerning. The spike in BP is caused by pain and not the medications. This pain is also common with all drugs and not just one drug type. This raises concerns about the oesophagus and stomach. I will suggest that you talk to a gastroenterologist and get a scope done to tell whether all is normal in these organs. Has your doctor ever tried medications like omeprazole before? If yes, what was the response?
I hope this helps. Keep me updated. I wish you well.
