What Causes Chest Pain, Fast Heart Beat And Fainting?
It came on without notice, i feet chest pain and fast heart beat and feeling a bit faint.
I started to sweat and feeling scared l'm having a heart attack.
I chewed 3 Aspirins drinking lots of water and now it starting to feel a bit better but not completely gone.
I have a viral infection that caused sinusitis or bronchitis that also gave me laryngitis.
I'm a singer and I'm so worried that the laryngitis wont go away ... it's been close to 3 weeks now.
Please any advice?
should be ruled out
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It is understandable to be concerned.
If you have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol , smoker or a family history of heart disease, it would be best to be assessed right away because a heart attack needs to be ruled out
If the pain was central, feels tight or heavy, constant, severe, then it is also best that you are assessed right away. The aspirin would have decreased the pain but you noted that it is still present.
They may or may not be radiation of pain to the left arm.
Assessment would include physical examination, EKG and blood tests (there are certain levels that go up in a heart attack)
Panic attacks or anxiety would be associated with intermittent chest pain that is not usually severe, there would normally also be a previous history of anxiety or panic
If it is not the case, then it is best to rule out heart disease
Anxiety or panic attacks are only considered when everything else is ruled out.
