What Causes Chest Pain In A 72 Year Old Man?

default
Posted on Wed, 20 Apr 2016
Question: I am 72 and recently had some chest pain similar to the symptoms of a heart attack, so I went to the emer-
gency room, and they checked me in. I then went thru a series of tests including injecting XXXXXXX into the heart veins, and no problems were found. I have been exercising for many years, including cycling and weights, and recently increased my weight lifting, and am wondering if that was the cause of the chest pains. Any thoughts on this?

Brief Answer:
Possibly though glad you were cleared of any heart problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this chest pain and all the panic it created. I am happy that you were cleared of any possible heart disease. I think the increased intensity of exercise might be responsible for the symptoms of chest pain. Maybe, you should moderate the intensity and let’s monitor this chest pain.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
