Question: Hi,
Maybe my post will be long but i want to tell everything and wanna have a regard on it...My story have started last year, afer abuses of alcohol i have started to make tachycardia , i also have maked some panic attack, i was too much stress by my job and have start to be panicked for everything and always worry about my heart.After that i have decided to be back home for couple of months but my situation was still the same...I found some issues when i have started to take atenolol ( 12,5mg per day ) but maybe my dosage is too small and i should take 25mg like my GP recommend me before...by the way since now 6 months i have pain in my chest , i have done all cardiacs exams possible except angiography, i have done EKG, EKG Stress test, Echo, Holter 24h and everything was fine except that sinus tachycardia....BEcause i have pain in my chest some doctor try to see if its was not my lungs, i have done X ray and a pft and except a small atelectasis on my LLL and some asthma i have nothing wrong, im also a smoker which its not help...I have seen a gastro specialist who tell me it could be Acid Reflux also i have tried Omepreaole since quite a while now and its still not chance...LAst Doctor i have seen now tell me it could be a costochondritis, but i feel nausea and often dizziness so we dont know where to find...its start to be really annoying situation for me , and i really start to be dispressed andhave bad idea, just to take a plane for one hour make me feel so dizzy i feel im gonna faint ... .... .... im tired to come here on that website for complain about my symptoms but its really tiring for me and i dont see future in my life at that time... iwas happy and had a good life, i live in thailand, i should be enjoying like others of my age, but no always have pain in my chest and worry for my heart...this is my shitty life

I'm sorry you are going through so much right now. Here are my thoughts.

What you describe is consistent with two diagnoses -- generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. The symptoms you describe, including chest pain and racing heartbeat, are somatic symptoms of anxiety. There is good treatment for this! I recommend taking an SSRI antidepressant like escitalopram or sertraline. These can cure your symptoms. You would also benefit from cognitive behavioral psychotherapy.
