I checked with Doctor and prescribed to take Metpure XL 12.5 for twenty days... can i have any additional suggestion please
Costochodritis may be the cause
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing your query
After going through your suffering, the pain could be of costochondritis (painful when ribs are pressed), may be relieved by following measure along with the drugs like ibuprofen-
1. Avoiding unnecessary exercise or activities that make the symptoms worse; avoid contact sports until there is improvement in symptoms, and then return to normal activities only as tolerated.
2. Rib belt along with hot water fomentation helps.
As far as outlook of costochondritis is concerned it is usually self limiting and may go away of its own most people will recover fully.
To rule out other possibilities EGG is recommended.
Hope this helps and I shall be glad to answer any further query .
Take care

Thank you for your reply, but I don't get any pain by pressing the ribs, only movement side ways as we do during exercise is causing the pain. the pain disappears after a few minutes. although any pressure on chest muscles like casual sleeping sideways putting hand on head etc. after coming to normal position, i feel pain.
and, what about the medecine I have been prescribed Metpure XL 12.5.
should i take it. My blood pressure is 150/85.
Deep breathing exercises (Yoga) helps

Hello
You are welcome
I have gone through your reply and would suggest to take vitamin D with a glass of milk. This (Sachet calcirol contains vitamin D ) is usually given once a week for 3 months then once a month for life long.Diet rich in calcium, the daily dose is 800 to 1000m.You may do chest exercises like deep breathing (Yoga).
You may continue with metpure XL.
You will get over it .
Hope this helps.
Take care
