What Causes Chest Pressure And Heaviness And Numbness In Lower Extremities?

Question: 29 year old slender black female with chest pressure/heaviness, symptoms for 2 days. normal ekg, ER overcrowded so she left after ekg. normal labs, cholesterol high. significant numbness in lower extremities and fingers several months. diabetes ruled out already.
Brief Answer:
Require to be examined by a doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
The chest heaviness can be due to cardiac and non cardiac causes. Since EKG is normal, it is less likely to be from the heart, though a TMT would be a better way to exclude cardiac causes.
Numbness in the hands and feet can be from a neuropathy or decrease in blood flow.
If smoke or consume alcohol you are at risk especially with the high cholesterol.
You should see doctor who will examine you and may do additional tests to determine the cause of your symptoms.
I shall be happy to answer any further queries.
Take care

ekg was performed for 30 seconds in er setting. Only palpitations were ruled out. is this ekg result consistent with ruling out an emergent heart issue. symptoms are localized intermittent pressure at and around left breast area that does not resolve.
Brief Answer:
Less likely to be from the heart
Detailed Answer:
If you could upload the EKG I shall look at it and give my comments.
The pain from the heart is usually felt in the middle.
The other sources of pain usually are the esophagus, the muscles, breast and lungs.
A physical examination will be advantageous in reaching a good conclusion.
