What Causes Chest Tightness?

Question: I had to reopen a closed account today just so I could continue our talk. I sent you a message earlier but it was in a general question to a pulminologist so I'm not sure if you will get it
Today was not overly bad. Had some good and had some bad. I'm now down to having one recurring symptom bothering me. I have talked of it before in some degree but I'm not sure if I have been really specific.
We have talked of the inflammation and how it affects whole lung not just certain sections. And that I notice it more in upper. Today I was laying on my back reading a book, I layer the book down on my upper chest. I noticed that as I breathed in my lower belly raised but the upper and book stayed motionless. As I tried to change to upper chest I could only raise it a small amount. Is this the inflation of the small airways and the constriction you spoke of that is causing that? Is this the meaning of tightness in chest that comes from inflammation ?
Well tomorrow starts the weekend, it will be a first for me in that I will not have a stressful work project over my head eating up my relaxation time. I hope to use it to play with my bass guitar, watch some movies and eat popcorn. Maybe I'll stop shaving for the weekend and get a scruffy look on the bald head and scraggly look on my face.

Brief Answer:
I want to see that face of yours. Ha ha ha.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
First let me tell you something about movements while respiration.
We are having sternum in center of chest.
It acts as static thing. And all our ribs move through joint.
So sternum will not move much during respiration.
Since you are having more belly fat, this fat will give more vibration and hence perception of more movement in abdomen during respiration.
Am I clear?
And I want to see your face with beard. Ha ha ha.

Both threads are good
Why 9:30? Because 8 hours would be 5:30 when I must get up. But we know many different things wake me and keep me up.
You know for the past few months, I wake up on some days and I have coughing spell not like the kind you have before you want to clean out your lungs but the type you have as you get before you vomit. It's not everyday but often enough

It stops on its own

Did I say I stopped the Flovent?
I am still on Flovent.
Say, tonight after work, am I able to have an alcoholic drink or 1 beer with the new medications i am taking?
I never have but one beer/once a month at most. I stopped when it would give me a bad headache, I noticed it came after I took the lexapro.
Does it do the same with the new meds?

Be specific, alcoholic drink or beer because both are having different alcohol content and so the effects will be different.
And honestly speaking, you are should not drink alcohol with propranolol.

But you can drink low alcohol content beer once a month but on that day don't take propranolol.
