Brief Answer:
Advisable to do X-ray PNS

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

In this context, I feel it is necessary that we find the cause. It may be due to deviated nasal septum or nasal polyp - these usually will be responsible for causing breathing issue.

Beside that I would like to know how long you have been using nasal decongestant spray. Rhinitis medicamentosa can also be there reason which is a condition of rebound nasal congestion brought on by extended use of topical decongestants.

I would suggest that we do X-ray of Paranasal sinus (PNS) along with nasal examination at an ENT's office before we plan the next steps of treatment. In the meanwhile, I suggest we slowly taper off oxymetazoline nasal drop. Antihistamines or topical steroid spray may be used while the tapering is done.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
