What Causes Chronic Pain In Lower Abdomen And Feet After A Tummy Tuck?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I have periods with no symptoms at all, but the second I pick up something heavy I experience a sensation like my guts are about to fall out, my belly becomes painful and tender (on the surface) and I start having numbness and a burning sensation in my toes and bottom of feet (instantly at the same time my belly becomes tender).
This has been going on for 8 months and is getting progressively worse (seemingly). I see no signs of hernia, but the symptoms are suspicious. Thoughts?
MRI of spine
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted the history of tummy-tuck, the nature ans character of pain and association with the 2 areas simultaneously, initiation with picking up-
I would advise such a patient to undergo an MRI of the whole spine as all your history is classically suggestive of a spinal problem. This can most probably be related to the multiple discs causing compression or spinal canal stenosis.
Please go ahead with MRI in consultation with a Neurosurgeon.
Medicines like Gabapentin do help, but have to be taken in consultation of a Neurosurgeon ( needs a prescription)
I am sure this will help you, please keep me posted ...
Wishing you an early diagnosis and proper treatment.
