What Causes Clear Nipple Discharge When I Squeeze?
Question: How likely breast cancer? 26/F. No family hx. Clear nipple discharge when I squeeze nipple. Only right breast. Only a drop or two. Coming from same spot on nipple. I have fibrocystic breasts. Scared.
Brief Answer:
Fibrocystic disease
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXX,
As you have suspicion of fibrocystic disease, discharge may be coming out of it. simple drop of discharge does not suggest cancer. If it is bloody then we should look at it with concern. I hope there is no tenderness in your breast. please do not squeeze it and keep it clean, the discharge may dry up. if it doesn't then microscopic examination of it through your physician is essential. but I am sure there can be no cancer.

Ok. There is tenderness in my breast, bit there wasnt until i squeezed it. I cant get any out today, but i could yesterday and the day before. I called my doctor and he tild me tibstop squeezing it as i can cause damage ny doing that. So youre sure its not cancer? Its not bloody discharge. But it did spontaniiusly happen on its own without ne squeezing it. I noticed a drop or two on my pajama tshirt before getting into the shower two days ago, and thats what led me to squeeze it in the first place. It seems to be coming from the same spot on my nipple - so im thinking its coming from the same duct. Are you sure i shouldnt be concerned?
Brief Answer:
nipple discharge.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXX,
May be there is underlying infection. if it is mild only by maintaining hygiene it will go. if there is redness and tenderness persistently a course of antibiotics may be needed. Not responding to this also the discharge has to be microscopically examined at which stage you should consult your doctor. Cancer seems to be a remote possibility. Hence I wouldn't be concerned about it.
