Brief Answer:
Possible GERD

Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome to HCM.

This may be caused by several condition but most common cause is GERD where acid reflux to esophagus and throat cause spasms in trachea and esophagus. Also, certain polyps in trachea or swollen lymph nodes in neck. However this is not likely to be related to injury.

You should at this point avoid coffee, alcohol, food that causes bloating and fried food .

All these foods tend to irritate esophagus. if this persist or become painful then you should consider visiting a Gastroenterologist for Gastroscopy and endoscopy .

Wish you good health.
Regards
